Our first peer workshop was held by Nini (check out her work here)! Through peer workshops, we hope to give fibres students an opportunity to share their skills with others, especially those who can't or don't have a chance to take fibres classes. The Club House is a weekly event held by the Fibres Student Association meant to fill in the gaps created by online learning in a studio-like environment. At the Club House, you can keep up with other students in FBRS classes, meet new people and share fibres knowledge (questions encouraged!).

This Wednesday evening lacemaker, Christine Alyn Beckett a specialist on Irish lace, will give a lecture on the history of tatting. This will be followed by a demonstration and workshop on the traditional lacemaking technique. Samples of various tatting techniques will be available for viewing and supplies will be provided for trying your own samples during the workshop, if desired.
